I released MotoFlow in 2025 - a native Apple app for motorcycle ride tracking. As a rider myself, I built the app I always wanted but couldn’t find.
MotoFlow runs natively on iPhone, Apple Watch, and Mac. The macOS app is a full native Mac application for managing your ride library, browsing routes on a large screen, and integrating photos that automatically map to your journeys. One-tap recording on iPhone or Apple Watch, then review and organize everything on your Mac.
The entire sync relies on CloudKit. This means I don’t have to run my own servers, and the user doesn’t have to create yet another account. Data syncs seamlessly through the existing iCloud account across all devices. No external infrastructure, no ongoing server costs that would force me into a subscription model.
CloudKit made it possible for me as a a solo developer to build a fully-featured sync solution without the cost of running backend infrastructure.
The app also supports GPX import/export, making it easy to bring in tracks from Garmin devices and get data out any time without being locked-in.
MotoFlow comes in a basic free version, with a one time payment to unlock everything: No subscriptions, no recurring fees. Just a tool that does its job well.
